The Difference Between Premium Ads and Local Ads

Local Ad targeting is decided by the brand on the account level; a brand's targeting settings for Local Ads will be the same, regardless of which campaign share you choose to boost. These metrics include age, gender, interests, and advertising objective (reach vs clicks). Local Ads target within a 25 mile radius of all your business' locations listed in the Business Info section of your Promoboxx account. Shares boosted using Local Ads can only appear on Facebook. Only static image and video shares can be boosted using Local Ads; carousel posts cannot be boosted.

Premium Ad targeting is decided by the brand on the campaign level, meaning that targeting settings are set up individually for each Premium Ad campaign. The metrics are age, gender, interests, and advertising objective (reach vs clicks). Premium Ads target within a 15 mile radius of  all your business' locations listed in the Business Info section of your Promoboxx account. Premium Ad campaigns can appear on Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook Audience Network (any combination, decided by the brand). Premium Ads can include static image, video, and carousel posts.

Premium Ads are considered "Dark Ads", since they don't appear natively on your business' Facebook page.
